Serpent's Fury Timing
| When the Fury lands | How to pop it |
|---|---|
| On pull, or just after the intermission | Pop early, right as the last tank combo ends. If Ravage is the last cast, you can pre-stack. |
| On the 2nd Apex Predator combo (just before the intermission) | It is delayed a few seconds after the last combo. Popping even 2 seconds early makes the first Fury after the intermission impossible to survive. |
Use the NSRT Serpent's Fury timer for exact timing.

Serpent's Fury Carrier
The mark goes to whoever stands furthest from the boss, so this player stands furthest out.

Last Viscous Cyst (Intermission)
Suggested: the first Mage. Any mobile player can do it.

Crosswind Partners

Mutilate Soak Groups
Two equal soak groups: Raid Groups Split template, Groups 1-2 vs Groups 3-4
Open in Raid GroupsStrategy notes
Serpent's Fury (the Mythic mechanic):
- Whoever stands furthest from the boss gets a large red circle, and the boss starts gaining energy. At 100 energy he enrages and kills the raid.
- Reset it by stacking 14 players in the circle to pop To the Slaughter.
- Bait the mark onto the Fury Carrier: they stand furthest out.
- Each Apex Predator set ends with one pop. There are 2 sets before the intermission.
- Before the 3rd intermission the pops don't need to be perfect, since the enrage comes afterward anyway.
Virulence:
- Everyone in the stack gets Virulence, which bursts in 4 directions.
- Spread immediately and use speed boosts.
- Use a personal defensive every other set.
- Anyone clipped gets it reapplied with longer lines.
Raging Crosswinds:
- Now 4 direction lines. Match your arrows and collide with someone in the air, or call for a grip or rescue.
- Colliding also works when the winds are at right angles.
- Don't use a cancel unless both players can cancel.
- Paladins, Priests and Shamans have no reliable cancel (Shaman Gust of Wind slows the fall, so it doesn't help).
- They pre-assign a partner and call or ping themselves, so the partner doesn't cancel the knock-up.
Setup:
- Two equal Mutilate soak groups (a melee/ranged split is a good start).
- Place markers around the room and tank the boss at one, usually the starting one.
- Move around the room as the boss contaminates the floor.
- Place Viscous Cysts on the correct markers based on where the winds show, per the raid leader's call or NSRT assignments.
Intermission:
- Plays like Heroic, plus Serpent's Fury.
- The Fury player can't pop it during Dig In: they wait for Dig In to begin before stacking with everyone.
- They step out of the group after the 3rd knock, so it doesn't pop as Dig In ends.
- The assigned Mage (or any mobile player) pops the last Viscous Cyst while the tank moves the boss to the opposite side. Use the knockback to get into position.
Biggest wipe causes:
- Tornado deaths and failed Serpent's Fury pops.
